Sharing and TV mode

A public link lets anyone without an account view a dashboard. It is read-only. You decide which time ranges and variable values viewers can use, and you can pause, expire or revoke the link whenever you want.

  1. Open the dashboard and choose Share.

  2. Create a public link.

  3. Set the options below.

  4. Copy the link. It has the form https://app.siteqwality.com/share/d/<token>.

A dashboard can have several links, each with its own settings. This lets you give one audience a day view and another a month view, and revoke them separately. Members can open the share dialog at any time to copy a link again.

OptionWhat it does
Allowed time rangesThe ranges viewers can choose, for example 1h, 4h, 1d, 7d and 30d. Viewers cannot request anything else.
Default rangeThe range the page opens with.
VariablesFor each variable, lock it so viewers cannot change it, or leave it selectable and limit which values they can pick.
ThemeLight, dark or auto.
ExpiryAn optional date after which the link stops working.
PauseTurns the link off without deleting it. Resume it later.
RevokeDeletes the link for good.

Viewers see the dashboard’s name, description and widgets. They can change the time range within the ranges you allowed and the variables you left selectable. They cannot edit.

The page is sent the dashboard’s name, description, widget definitions and the link’s settings. That includes each widget’s queries and filter values. It does not include tags, authors, version history, other dashboards or other share links.

  • Log stream and Trace list widgets. They show “Not available on shared dashboards”. Every other widget type works.
  • Anything you did not allow. The page only runs queries for the dashboard’s own widgets, only in the ranges you allowed, and only with the variable values you allowed.

A link shows “not found” when it is paused, expired or revoked, when its dashboard is deleted, or when its account no longer has a paid plan.

Shared pages are never cached by the browser, and data can be up to 30 seconds old. Each link records when it was last opened and how often, shown in the API as last_accessed_at and access_count.

Anyone who can edit dashboards can create and manage share links: Members, Billing Admins, Admins and Super Admins. Viewers and Auditors cannot. AI assistants connected through MCP cannot either: share endpoints are withheld from MCP so that an assistant can build a dashboard but cannot publish one.

Creating a link needs a paid plan. Existing links can still be paused or revoked after a downgrade. For a locked dashboard, only its creator and account admins can create, change or revoke links. Scoped API clients also need read access to every data source used by the dashboard, as described in API permissions.

TV mode turns a dashboard into a wall display.

  • Open it from the actions menu with TV mode, or add ?tv=1 to the dashboard URL.
  • The page chrome disappears.
  • The grid fills the screen. A short dashboard grows to fill the height, and a tall one scrolls.
  • A live clock shows the time.
  • Data refreshes automatically.
